About the role#
The I.A.C. Navigator provides direct, participant-facing case management for students in earn-and-learn programs. You will ensure students have the coordination and support needed to complete their programs. This is a case-management role focused on student success rather than employer relationship ownership or program strategy.
What you'll do#
- Conduct regular check-ins with assigned apprentices and document all contact in the system of record.
- Identify and resolve barriers to completion by referring students to college resources like tutoring or financial aid.
- Guide apprentices through the Start Now and registration processes.
- Assist with onboarding paperwork and update student files with cohort codes.
- Communicate with employers for reporting and check-in purposes when directed by the Assistant Director.
- Collect and relay employer-reported OJT hours or progress updates.
- Attend outreach, orientation, and onboarding events to support students.
- Screen applicants against program criteria and submit written recommendations.
- Maintain accurate case records and submit weekly status reports on caseload activity.
- Support the organization of on-campus events such as career fairs and networking luncheons.
- Contribute to the department marketing and communication plan.
- Help student job seekers by reviewing resumes and conducting mock interviews.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience. A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with case management, student support, or workforce navigation.
- The ability to learn and use college systems including TargetX, Colleague, Self Service, and Canvas.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work effectively with a diverse apprentice population.
