About the role#
University Enterprises, Inc. is hiring a Student Assistant to work in the Accounting Office. This is a part-time, temporary position that provides an opportunity to gain experience in a professional setting under the supervision of an Accounting Administrator. You will work remotely while based in California.
What you'll do#
- Perform various administrative tasks within the Accounting Office.
- Use the FI$Cal system to support office operations.
- Handle scanning and filing of important documents.
- Manage the routing of incoming mail.
- Assist with the invoice payment process.
- Provide customer service support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student at an accredited institution.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine quarter units. Graduate students must be enrolled in at least four-semester units or six quarter units.
- A declared major in Accounting or a closely related field.
- A minimum 2.0 GPA and good academic standing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Comfort with or a willingness to learn Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other computer programs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
- Capability to think critically, conduct thorough research, and communicate your findings.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships.
Location & details#
- Location: This role is remote, but you must reside and perform all work within the state of California.
- Schedule: Flexible hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday. You may work up to 24 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during academic breaks.
- Compensation: $20.08 to $35.70 per hour.
- Employment Status: This is a non-benefited, part-time position. Employment is at-will and subject to successful completion of pre-employment background checks.
