About the role#
This position is a part-time, temporary student assistant role. You will work under the close supervision of a Senior Engineer in the Office of Design. This role is designed to help you build an understanding of how to prepare Plans, Specs, and Estimates for transportation projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing special provisions.
- Help with engineering quantities calculations and estimates.
- Track project schedules.
- Take meeting minutes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You must be a college student attending classes during the regular term.
- Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least six-semester units or nine quarter units.
- Graduate students must be enrolled in at least four-semester units or six quarter units.
- You must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and complete each term with the required units.
- Your major must be Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Location & details#
- Location: Oakland, California.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible hours between 8 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: $18.28 to $28.16 per hour.
