About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for students pursuing a technical degree or certification. Interns gain hands-on experience with equipment rental operations and maintenance. The program is designed to prepare individuals for future service technician roles within the company upon completion of their education.
What you'll do#
- Learn about the various types of equipment rented by United Rentals and their applications.
- Assist seasoned mechanics with manual and maintenance tasks.
- Provide labor assistance to support daily branch operations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients.
- Work toward potential transition into service technician roles upon receipt of degree or certification.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing a technical degree or certification.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and foundational knowledge of tools and equipment.
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated work ethic with a strong sense of urgency.
