About the role#
As a Technology Intern, you will work within our Application Development, Cybersecurity, or Infrastructure teams. You will gain experience building secure systems that support our transportation logistics network. This is a full-time summer internship that offers exposure to senior leaders and project work across software development, data networking, and cybersecurity.
What you'll do#
- Perform core processes to build and support enterprise software applications.
- Participate in design sessions, sprint planning, and code reviews.
- Track project status using JIRA.
- Build a professional network across company departments.
- Apply technical skills to solve real-world problems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Completed at least one year of coursework toward your degree by the start of the internship.
- Experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or C++.
- Ability to work full-time in Omaha, Nebraska, from mid-May through early August.
- Authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Basic skills in organization, time management, and communication.
Location & details#
- This internship is based in Omaha, Nebraska.
- The role is full-time for the summer 2027 term.
- We offer a hybrid work environment allowing for both on-site and remote work where the job allows.
- Relocation and housing stipends are available for qualified students living more than 65 miles from Omaha.
- Compensation is between $22 and $28 per hour, depending on experience and year of study.
