About the role#
Union Pacific is hiring a year-round intern for the Health and Medical team. This role supports regulatory and compliance obligations related to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). You will work alongside department managers to gain experience in human resources processes while contributing to company projects. This is a paid position designed for students looking to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Refine and improve FMLA workflows and communication strategies.
- Manage data entry and document organization to keep department records accurate.
- Provide administrative support to management teams.
- Handle special projects and contribute to company initiatives.
- Gain experience with customer service activities and departmental processes.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year of undergraduate college credits.
- Current enrollment in a degree program focused on Business, Human Resources, Legal Studies, or Pre-Employment Law.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic ability to organize tasks, prioritize work, and manage time.
- Ability to work in a standard office environment, which includes sitting for extended periods and using a computer.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Compensation: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on year of study, qualifications, and experience.
