About the role#
This year-round internship with the Labor Relations team offers students the chance to gain experience in human resources. You will manage projects from start to finish, interact with senior leaders, and apply your skills to real business assignments. This role is a full-time position during the summer and transitions to a part-time schedule during the academic year.
What you'll do#
- Assist in preparing and reviewing labor contracts and related documents.
- Track contract compliance and help resolve contract disputes.
- Maintain and update labor relations records and documentation.
- Conduct research on current labor relations trends.
- Draft reports and summaries regarding labor relations activities and issues.
- Collaborate with operations and non-operations leaders to address labor concerns.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year of undergraduate college credits.
- Current enrollment in a degree program, preferably in Human Resources.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
- Basic skills in organization, prioritization, and time management.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska.
- Work Modality: On-site at the Union Pacific Center with remote flexibility as needed.
- Schedule: Full-time during the summer and 15-25 hours per week during the school year, with flexibility to accommodate class schedules.
- Compensation: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour.
