About the role#
This is a paid, full-time construction internship for the Fall 2026 term. You will work on-site at active construction projects or within a main office, depending on business needs. The role focuses on building foundational knowledge in project management, safety protocols, quality control, and subcontractor relationships. You will apply your academic studies to real-world construction activities.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, and file management.
- Assist with the collection and review of shop drawings, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Attend site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and studies for project items.
- Help with project start-up activities and close out preparations.
- Communicate with architects, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors as directed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Architecture.
- A willingness to learn about construction management and follow supervisor instructions.
- Ability to understand and follow project site signage.
- Commitment to participating in all required training, meetings, and orientations.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and the ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
