About the role#
As a Construction Intern, you will support project teams in executing construction activities. You will apply your classroom knowledge to real field and office tasks to gain hands-on experience in project delivery. This role involves working closely with project engineers, superintendents, and trade partners to help ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
What you'll do#
- Assist project teams with daily field coordination and documentation.
- Support project engineers by reviewing drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Collect and organize data for project logs, daily reports, and safety records.
- Observe site operations to understand construction means, methods, and sequencing.
- Participate in project meetings and help prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up items.
- Assist with procurement tracking and materials management.
- Collaborate with team members to promote a strong safety culture.
What you'll need#
- A High School Education, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a collaborative team environment or participation in project-based coursework is preferred.
- Prior internship, co-op, or related experience in construction or engineering is preferred.
