About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Memphis, Tennessee, for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site at a construction project to build foundational knowledge in project management, financial tracking, safety protocols, and quality control. This role is designed to help you apply your academic background to real-world construction activities.
What you'll do#
- Support the project team with meeting coordination, material tracking, and document control.
- Process shop drawings, submittals, and requests for information.
- Attend site visits to observe and document field activities.
- Prepare estimates for changes in work from subcontractors.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety programs.
- Assist with project start-up and close-out tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
- Capacity to relate academic knowledge to work tasks.
- Ability to follow site signage and supervisor instructions.
- Willingness to participate in training and meetings.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the ability to wear required personal protection equipment.
