About the role#
This is a full-time internship opportunity for Winter 2027. You will work approximately 40 hours per week from late January through late April. You will work alongside accounting and finance professionals to apply your academic knowledge to real-world projects, learn new financial technologies, and build relationships with team leaders.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, maintain, and analyze tax records and reports for tax returns.
- Prepare local, state, and federal tax returns.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly tax provisions and financial management reports.
- Research tax issues, analyze applicable tax laws, and document your conclusions.
- Use financial systems and reporting tools to produce various analyses.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related analytical field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- Modality: Hybrid. You will work from the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with Monday and Friday as remote work days.
- Employment status: This is a paid, full-time internship.
