About the role#
This is a 14-week internship opportunity running from late January to late April 2027. You will report to the Director of Finance Transformation and work with the Data Analytics team. This role focuses on advancing data governance, gathering requirements, and developing AI use cases. You will gain exposure to enterprise data practices while supporting strategic finance initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Support the migration of global finance systems to US-based systems.
- Contribute to systems mapping and data flow exercises.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and generate actionable insights.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and visualization.
- Support predictive modeling and performance measurement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various analytics projects.
- Contribute to business analysis by understanding financial workflows and participating in project planning.
- Engage in continuous learning regarding emerging finance technologies.
- Participate in professional development to refine your skills in finance and technology.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, or a related IT field.
- Basic to intermediate experience with Excel and SQL.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A strong interest in financial systems, automation, and process improvement.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work in a team-oriented environment.
- Exposure to Python, Alteryx, AI, or cloud technologies is a plus.
- Prior relevant internship experience or a demonstrated interest in the IT field.
- A passion for keeping pace with advances in data science and machine learning.
Location & details#
- Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (in-office Tuesday through Thursday; work from home Monday and Friday).
- Schedule: Full-time (approximately 40 hours per week).
- Term: Winter 2027.
