About the role#
Trans Mountain is hiring a Regulatory Co-op Student for a 12-month term in Calgary. You will join the Regulatory group to assist with submissions, research, and policy analysis. This role involves rotating through various teams to gain exposure to facility applications, economic analysis, and regulatory services. The term runs from January 11, 2027, to December 18, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and compile timely submissions for regulators to support business activities.
- Research and analyze past regulatory filings, emerging issues, and applicable laws.
- Summarize findings and recommendations related to toll, rate making, and operational requirements.
- Analyze and communicate new legal or regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders.
- Maintain regulatory documentation, filing systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Environmental, Economics, Legal, Engineering, Business, or Social Sciences program.
- Active enrollment in your institution's co-op program.
- Skills in research, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and technical writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate clearly with diverse teams.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $23.55 to $31.59 CAD per hour.
- Duration: 12-month term (Winter, Summer, and Fall 2027).
