About the role#
This is a paid, one-year full-time internship within our Shared Services payroll team. The program is designed to help you launch a career in payroll while you complete the three courses required for the Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation. We cover all course fees and National Payroll Institute membership costs. You will work with a dedicated mentor and receive structured onboarding, with the potential for a permanent role at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and process employee pay runs under supervision.
- Enter and reconcile payroll data across pay cycles.
- Assist with statutory and third-party remittances and year-end processing.
- Maintain accurate and compliant payroll records.
- Complete the three courses required for PCP certification.
- Coordinate with your mentor and our Indigenous Relations team.
What you'll need#
- Completion of Secondary V or the equivalent.
- Self-identification as a member of a First Nations community or the Inuit Nation.
- Eligibility for Quebec's Programme d'aide à l'intégration en emploi des membres des Premières Nations et des Inuit (PAIPNI).
- Referral or validation from a recognized Indigenous employment-services organization or a valid Services Québec eligibility letter.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Interest in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
