About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Water Resources Civil Engineering Intern to join our team in Austin, Texas. This internship takes place during Summer 2027. You will work on hydrology and hydraulics projects, gaining practical experience while supporting our engineering staff.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze data for hydrology and hydraulics engineering projects.
- Compile technical data and assist with the preparation of reports and project deliverables.
- Perform calculations to support project needs.
- Participate in site visits and field activities.
- Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support project coordination.
- Use Microsoft Office and technical software to assist with engineering tasks.
- Develop a practical understanding of hydrology and hydraulics principles.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by Summer 2027.
- Math skills for performing calculations.
- Basic computer skills for data entry into spreadsheets and databases.
- A willingness to learn.
- Experience with ESRI GIS applications.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.
