About the role#
Trans Mountain is looking for a co-op student to join the Environment team for an 8-month term. You will assist with environmental field programs and data management while gaining experience in environmental stewardship. This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Calgary office.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and implement field programs, including Post-Construction Environmental Monitoring (PCEM), reclamation, and offsetting.
- Validate project and field assessment data to support environmental data integration.
- Assist with environmental reporting, data compilation, and analytics to track program progress.
- Provide support to field consultants using PCEM field guides for components like aquatics, wetlands, wildlife, vegetation, and reclamation.
- Work with the Environment team and other departments on program implementation, compliance activities, and issue tracking.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary co-op program in Environmental Sciences, Biology, Ecology, Geography, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
- Enrollment in your institution's co-op program is required.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Interest in environmental data management, reporting, and field support.
- Familiarity with tools such as GIS, SharePoint, Enablon, or ESRI software is an asset.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027 and Summer 2027 (January 11, 2027, to August 18, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $23.55 to $31.59 CAD per hour.
