About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in environmental stewardship within a refinery setting. You will work alongside experienced professionals to apply your academic knowledge to real-world tasks, focusing on regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Collect and analyze environmental data, covering air emissions, water discharge, and waste management records.
- Support engineers in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Contribute to projects that reduce the refinery's environmental footprint, including energy efficiency and waste management initiatives.
- Assist in investigations of environmental incidents and help draft corrective action plans.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited four-year university.
- Pursuit of a degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- Strong analytical, data management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
- An interest in refining, process systems, or energy-related industries.

- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Term: Summer 2026 (May through August).
