About the role#
Repsol is hiring an Environmental Affairs Intern to support the Environmental Affairs and Permitting department. This role reports to the Director and focuses on renewable energy project development. You will work within a team to provide solutions for the company and the communities it serves.
What you'll do#
- Perform research across science, policy, legal, and technology sectors.
- Analyze and compare findings from various studies and regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Create project materials such as memoranda, letters, presentations, and talking points to support permitting efforts.
- Manage and track technical document reviews and responses to inquiries.
- Assist the team with data organization and the maintenance of relevant databases.
- Support corporate environmental stewardship policies and goals.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for environmental science, natural or cultural resources, biology, or a similar science-based field.
- Preference for rising Junior or Senior students.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated work style and attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in the environment.

- Location: Downtown Houston, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
