About the role#
We are looking for an Asset Management Intern to join our team for a 12-week summer program. You will work with our team in Houston to monitor and optimize the performance of our renewable energy assets. This role involves analyzing operational, financial, and commercial data to support our portfolio goals.
What you'll do#
- Monitor and optimize the performance of solar and battery energy storage projects.
- Analyze asset performance metrics, operational trends, and key business drivers.
- Build and maintain performance dashboards, reporting tools, and portfolio management resources.
- Review financial and operational data to identify risks, opportunities, and improvement strategies.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and analytical materials for leadership teams.
- Support financial and operational analysis for investment decisions and asset optimization.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Engineering, and Operations.
- Use Excel and business intelligence tools to analyze large datasets and provide recommendations.
- Participate in special projects focused on operational excellence and portfolio growth.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy Commerce, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
- Basic understanding of renewable energy technologies, battery energy storage systems, or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with business analysis, financial modeling, or performance reporting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data analytics tools is a plus.
