About the role#
Trans Mountain is hiring an Electrical Engineering Co-op Student for a 12-month term in our Calgary office. You will work alongside Project Managers and Engineers to support the delivery of sustaining capital, growth, maintenance, and reliability projects. This role involves hands-on project engineering experience, including technical documentation, site visits, and project execution.
What you'll do#
- Support the delivery of sustaining capital, growth, maintenance, and reliability improvement projects.
- Assist with project management tasks such as preparing and reviewing construction documentation.
- Track project schedules and costs.
- Participate in project planning and execution meetings.
- Support field visits as required.
- Review engineering drawings and research responses to technical inquiries and Requests for Information.
- Support the implementation of safety processes and requirements.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution, preferably Electrical Engineering students entering their third year or higher.
- Active enrollment in your institution's co-op program.
- Proficiency with data analysis and database administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Term: January 11, 2027, to December 18, 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Travel: Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time for site visits.
- Compensation: $26.95 to $36.74 CAD per hour.
