About the role#
As a Water Conveyance Engineering Student, you will join our infrastructure team to work on municipal projects. You will gain experience across the planning, design, and construction phases of water, wastewater, and water conveyance projects. This role involves working alongside engineers and project managers to deliver infrastructure solutions.
What you'll do#
- Assist with preliminary and detailed design of linear infrastructure, including watermains and sewers.
- Support hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and system modelling.
- Prepare and revise technical drawings, plan and profiles, and design markups using CAD tools.
- Participate in site visits to observe construction activities and collect field data.
- Assist with shop drawing reviews and the preparation of field sketches.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project coordination and quality reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program.
- Strong foundational skills in CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Civil 3D.
- An analytical mindset with an interest in hydraulics and water conveyance infrastructure.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction.
