About the role#
Arcadis is hiring an Air Quality, Noise and Vibration Engineer Intern or Co-op for our Waterloo, Ontario office. This position runs for the Winter 2027 term. You will work with consultants and multidisciplinary teams on projects involving rail, transit, industry, residential development, roadways, and renewable energy.
What you'll do#
- Support noise assessment projects across various sectors.
- Collect field data and perform acoustic measurements at project sites and monitoring locations.
- Assist with the analysis, modelling, and interpretation of environmental datasets.
- Prepare technical reports, summaries, and project documentation.
- Develop and improve internal tools, databases, and workflows, including Python-based solutions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A valid driver's license.
- Experience with programming, specifically Python.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design and drafting software.
- Previous experience with fieldwork, data collection, or infrastructure sites.

- Modality: Hybrid, with a requirement of at least 4 days per week in the office.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
