About the role#
This internship offers exposure to environmental remediation and restoration projects within a consulting environment. You will join our team in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, during the Summer of 2027. We focus on protecting natural environments and water resources while supporting remediation system operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform systems design and hydraulic evaluation.
- Develop design reports, construction documents, and specifications.
- Provide construction oversight and assist with remediation system operations.
- Conduct field and office support for site investigations, including the collection of soil, water, and vapor samples in various weather conditions.
- Handle task coordination, data compilation, and quality assurance reviews.
- Prepare health and safety plans, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Assist with design calculations for treatment technologies and process design drawings for groundwater, industrial, and wastewater systems.
- Support air emissions characterization, quantification, and compliance tasks.
- Conduct regulatory file reviews and assist with proposal development.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS program for Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Preferred skills include AutoCAD, GIS, and programming.
