About the role#
The Advisory group acts as the management consulting branch of Hatch. We assist clients in the mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors by solving complex business challenges. As a consultant, you will bridge technical expertise with strategic business solutions. This role is based in our Montreal office and is open to summer, co-op, or rolling internships ranging from 4 to 12 months.
What you'll do#
- Break down high-level information to identify fundamental factors and build a comprehensive understanding of client needs.
- Develop and contribute to cost models, financial models, and business cases for internal and external projects.
- Collaborate with Advisory team members and engineering groups to analyze information and produce reports or presentations.
- Compile and summarize data from existing sources, literature reviews, workshops, and surveys.
- Prepare analyses, case studies, and scenarios to support senior analysts and consultants.
- Evaluate information from multiple sources and resolve inconsistencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program for Engineering, Sciences, Business Administration, Commerce, or Economics.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to research and summarize complex concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
- Fluency in both French and English, in written and oral forms.
