About the role#
As an Engineering Intern, you will support the development, implementation, and certification of safety-critical software products for Aerospace, Industrial, and Automotive customers. You will work alongside software engineers, architects, and product management teams to build features for VxWorks and HVP on platforms like ARM and IA. This role provides hands-on experience with real-world projects and system software.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of software modules for VxWorks and HVP products.
- Contribute to feature implementation, certification activities, and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with product management and system architects to implement requirements.
- Participate in the development and certification of software on ARM, IA, and related platforms.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing features and engineering processes.
- Contribute ideas for product enhancements and future iterations.
- Work effectively with global engineering teams and an assigned mentor.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Third or fourth year of study is preferred.
- Completed coursework in Operating Systems.
- Strong understanding of RTOS and embedded systems fundamentals.
- Familiarity with building and developing software modules.
- Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet eligibility requirements for security-sensitive projects.
- Exposure to driver or board-level software development and C/C++ programming skills are preferred.
