About the role#
This internship provides exposure to private equity and junior capital within Churchill, an investment affiliate of Nuveen. You will work on underwriting investment opportunities and supporting the team with portfolio management. This is a full-time, paid position based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to underwrite investment opportunities across junior capital, equity co-investment, and primary funds.
- Assist in the preparation of internal memoranda and materials used to support investment recommendations.
- Monitor the performance of existing portfolio investments.
- Participate in due diligence meetings with sponsors and portfolio company executives.
What you'll need#
- Status as a rising Junior or rising Senior (Class of 2028 or 2029) pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
- Superior Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a consistent ability to identify errors.
- Effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
