About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in the financial services industry. You will shadow financial advisors to see how they manage client meetings, workshops, and community events. The program includes a training orientation and prepares you for future roles through case analysis and real-world exercises. You will work on-site in Lexington, Kentucky.
What you'll do#
- Complete an orientation and training program.
- Shadow financial advisors during daily tasks and client interactions.
- Learn to create financial plans and analyses.
- Use software platforms like MoneyGuidePro and Morningstar.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss industry trends and weekly activities.
- Observe regional seminars and join virtual sessions with corporate staff.
- Partner with the Engagement Team to integrate generosity programs.
- Research and present a project in collaboration with other interns.
What you'll need#
- Junior or senior standing in a college degree program for business, finance, marketing, or a related field.
- Technical aptitude with computer systems.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear oral and written communication abilities.
