About the role#
This internship offers exposure to the Fixed Income Securitized Public and Private Debt and Commercial Mortgage Loans teams. You will participate in a rotational program covering ABS, CLOs, CMBS, MBS, and Commercial Mortgage Loans. You will work with portfolio managers, traders, and senior analysts to evaluate Industrial, Multifamily, Retail, and Office investments across the United States.
What you'll do#
- Provide research support for analyzing and underwriting bond and mortgage investments.
- Monitor credit risk and performance of existing investment holdings.
- Review due diligence documents for the origination and closing of mortgage investments.
- Perform independent research on industries and sectors within the real estate and fixed income markets.
- Contribute to the investment process by participating in meetings with issuers and management.
What you'll need#
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, or Accounting.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Working knowledge of accounting, finance, corporate strategy, real estate, and financial statistics.
- Understanding of commercial property underwriting.
- Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently and follow direction from multiple leaders.
- Experience with Argus, FactSet, Aladdin, or Bloomberg is a plus.
