About the role#
Thrivent is looking for a Recruiting Specialist Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This program provides students with experience in a financial services organization. You will join the Talent Acquisition team to learn the recruiting lifecycle, support candidate experience, and assist with process improvement initiatives. You will work with the Advisor Growth Center of Excellence and regional leaders to support recruiting operations.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain a pipeline of diverse candidates.
- Track candidate progress through the selection process.
- Communicate with candidates, including scheduling and follow-ups.
- Coordinate logistics for onboarding, intern field events, and offboarding.
- Manage candidate data and reporting using Workday and CRM tools.
- Collaborate with recruiting specialists to identify process improvements.
- Shadow the implementation of the Recruiting Playbook and selection best practices.
What you'll need#
- Current college junior, senior, or recent graduate with a degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining information confidentiality.
- Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Familiarity with Workday or CRM tools is a plus.

- This is a paid, part-time internship.
- The role is remote with potential hybrid opportunities in Appleton or Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Chicago, Illinois; and Indianapolis, Indiana.
