About the role#
This internship is based in the Ride Engineering Studio in Glendale, California. You will work on ride control system development for Disney attractions. The role runs from January 2027 through June 2027. You will join a project team and work alongside a mentor to contribute to the creation and testing of attraction systems.
What you'll do#
- Design, model, and analyze electrical, electronic, and data communication systems.
- Participate in prototyping, simulation, and testing for specific attractions.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to develop unique control systems.
- Work alongside a project team and a dedicated mentor.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior in an accredited college or university.
- A degree path in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to implement basic control system designs.
- Experience with programmable controllers for machine control or robotics.
- Skills in electrical or electronic design and calculations.
- Ability to prepare technical documents and CAD drawings.
- A valid US driver's license.

- Location: Glendale, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to June).
- Employment type: Full time, on-site.
- Compensation: $31 per hour for undergraduates and $36 per hour for graduate students.
- Note: Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
