About the role#
The Labor Systems team builds applications that support workload, scheduling, time tracking, and deployment for Disney operations. We are looking for an intern to join us for a full-time, six-month commitment from January 2027 through June 2027. You will work on both strategic and tactical challenges while supporting our existing labor systems and new project initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Support the maintenance of existing labor systems, tools, databases, and reporting solutions.
- Contribute to multiple capital and local projects.
- Handle tasks ranging from database design and backend server management to frontend web development and dashboard design.
- Take on work assigned based on your specific strengths and your desire to learn new technologies.
What you'll need#
- Experience with frontend web development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or SQL.
- A solution-centric mindset and the ability to solve problems independently.
- A track record of working collaboratively with others.
- Familiarity with Angular or React is preferred.
- You must include a link to a technical portfolio, such as a GitHub profile, on your resume to be considered.
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university as a Junior or Senior, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
- This is a full-time, on-site internship requiring 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- You must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization.
- You are responsible for providing your own housing and transportation in the Orlando area.
- This role is paid at a rate of $31.00 per hour.
