About the role#
The Disney Experiences team is seeking a Social Media and Digital Comms Intern to support the Disney Eats brand. This role focuses on global food and beverage communications, requiring collaboration with internal teams and external partners. You will report to the Digital Integration Specialist to help build brand presence through professional writing, photography, and digital content creation.
What you'll do#
- Produce creative content for the Disney Parks Blog, Disney Eats Instagram, and Facebook.
- Capture and edit photography and video content throughout the parks and resorts.
- Write audience-focused blog posts and manage the blog production schedule using Smartsheet.
- Support the planning and execution of Food and Beverage public relations and broadcast media events.
- Monitor and engage with social media comments on Disney Eats platforms.
- Route content for internal approvals and submit project requests.
- Maintain the Disney Eats photo library and track social statistics for weekly reports.
What you'll need#
- Junior or Senior status currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Digital Media, or Customer Engagement.
- A portfolio showcasing your best written and visual work is required for your application.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
- Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
- Preferred skills include experience with Adobe Creative Suite, videography, photography, WordPress, Keynote, and social tracking tools like Sprinklr or Adobe Analytics.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization.
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or Disney College Program.
Location & details#
- Location: Bay Lake, Florida.
- Term: Full-time internship from January 2027 through June 2027.
- Availability: Must be available 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for weekend or off-hours shifts.
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
- Requirements: You must provide your own housing in the Orlando area and reliable transportation to and from work. You must also align with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
