About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship with Walt Disney Imagineering in Glendale, California. The role runs from January 2027 to June 2027. You will work on-site to assist the Project Engineer or Design Manager with the technical coordination and integration of themed entertainment projects from conceptual design through construction.
What you'll do#
- Support project coordination across creative, show, and ride studios.
- Facilitate the technical coordination of design documents, models, and specifications.
- Organize and facilitate Integrated Concurrent Engineering sessions and design reviews.
- Assist with quality assurance and control for design documentation and field construction.
- Track facility punch lists and help resolve questions regarding construction documents or field conditions.
- Coordinate the document release process between disciplines.
- Provide technical input to team members to assist with project decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or higher in an accredited college or university.
- A major in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
- Working knowledge of Building Information Management (BIM).
- Experience with computer technology in the CADD generation of drawings.
- Experience working with punch lists in a construction environment.
- Unrestricted work authorization.
Location & details#
- Location: Glendale, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
- Pay: $31 per hour for undergraduate students and $36 per hour for graduate students.
- Requirements: You must be able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation to the work site.
