About the role#
The Sales Learning Services Instructional Design team creates and maintains learning content for internal sales audiences and third-party travel industry clients. This team supports training for Disney Destinations, including Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, National Geographic Expeditions, and Adventures by Disney. This is a full-time, six-month internship based in the Orlando area.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the production of learning content from design and development through implementation and evaluation.
- Create online and instructor-led learning components covering product knowledge, policies, and system training.
- Collaborate with writers, graphic designers, video producers, and web designers.
- Apply learning theory and research to craft materials that improve outcomes for specific audiences.
- Lead assigned learning content projects, including scheduling design and review meetings.
- Develop reference guides, tutorials, presentations, facilitator scripts, and instructional videos.
- Shadow and assist with train-the-trainer sessions and conduct annual learning content reviews.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university, with senior year preferred.
- Coursework in Instructional Design, Learning Design, Learning Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Instructional Design processes and comfort facilitating material virtually and in person.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
- Knowledge of Disney Parks, Resorts, Experiences, and Products.
- Ability to prioritize projects and work within a team.
- Familiarity with eLearning tools like Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, and Camtasia is preferred.
- A portfolio of previous work is recommended.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization.
- Must be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
- Cannot have completed one year of continual employment on a previous Disney internship or College Program.
Location & details#
- Location: Celebration, Florida.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 2027 - June 2027).
- Modality: On-site, full-time (approximately 40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
- Requirements: Interns must provide their own reliable transportation and housing in the Orlando area.
