About the role#
The Corporate Partnerships Intern supports the department by gaining hands-on experience in the operations of a professional sports organization. You will assist with sponsorship development and execution while working alongside team representatives to support daily departmental goals.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Partnership Activation team with daily tasks, including activation tracking and contract fulfillment.
- Help organize and execute corporate partner activities and events.
- Manage corporate partner promotions and prize fulfillment.
- Execute game night duties such as capturing photos, managing concourse tables, and assisting with sponsorship contests.
- Support the renewal and new business teams by researching prospective partners, compiling data, and writing proposals.
- Collaborate with Creative Services and Marketing departments to fulfill signage and promotional needs.
- Prepare proof of performance and recap presentations for partners.
- Handle general office duties like data entry, filing, and managing supplies.
- Attend weekly departmental meetings covering sales, activation, and marketing.
- Participate in receptionist training and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, with an emphasis on business writing.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow directions without needing constant follow-up.
- Capability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Sponsorship experience is strongly preferred.
- Majors in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications are preferred.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Toyota Center is a live entertainment venue located in Houston, Texas. It opened in 2003 and spans six city blocks. The facility serves as the home arena for the Houston Rockets and hosts various concerts, sports events, and performances. A renovation project is currently in progress with an expected completion date in 2027.
