About the role#
The Corporate Strategy Intern supports the Corporate Partnerships department. You will gain experience in the operations of a professional sports organization, specifically focusing on sponsorship development and execution.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Partnership Sales and Activation teams with daily tasks, including activation tracking and contract fulfillment.
- Help organize and execute corporate partner activities and events.
- Perform game night duties such as capturing photos, setting up concourse tables, and fulfilling sponsorship contests.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to answer business questions and present recommendations.
- Research consumer and market insights for corporate proposals.
- Help the renewal and new business team with proposal presentations, research, metrics, and copywriting.
- Create proof of performance or recap presentations.
- Attend client meetings and participate in weekly departmental meetings.
- Handle general office duties including data entry, filing, and supply management.
- Participate in receptionist training and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current student pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
- Experience in sponsorship, strategy, analytics, or business insights is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- Attention to detail and strong business writing skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- The position is on-site and full-time.

Toyota Center is a live entertainment venue located in Houston, Texas. It opened in 2003 and spans six city blocks. The facility serves as the home arena for the Houston Rockets and hosts various concerts, sports events, and performances. A renovation project is currently in progress with an expected completion date in 2027.
