About the role#
This internship provides practical experience in agricultural sales. It is designed for students who plan to pursue a career in the agriculture industry after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Travel within the country for 6 weeks.
- Join local retail partners for day trips.
- Visit NCRS to participate in planting, sidedress, foliar, and harvest activities.
- Scout fields with the research team at NCRS.
- Track price indexing information.
- Assist with AgroExpo administration and farm show logistics.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on social media campaigns.
- Document field experiences through photos, videos, or testimonials.
- Gather data for use in training programs and PowerPoint presentations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an agriculture business or agronomy program as a second or third year student.
- Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, including locations outside of Michigan.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- A positive attitude and a desire to learn about sales, marketing, and agronomic principles.
- Ability to stand, sit, lift, squat, stoop, and move up to 50 lbs.
