About the role#
As an Occupational Safety and Industrial Hygiene Intern, you will join the Worldwide Safety team to support cast and guest safety initiatives. You will work across various departments to identify risks and promote safe environments. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Anaheim, California, running from January through June 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform safety, health, and food safety audits and create corrective action plans.
- Conduct field surveys, including indoor air quality, noise dosimetry, and ventilation assessments.
- Create Job Safety Analyses (JSA) to define site-specific safety requirements, such as machine guarding and equipment specifications.
- Help lead safety and wellness committee meetings and develop educational materials.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, then develop and track mitigation strategies.
- Provide feedback on safety requirements during design review meetings.
- Maintain project documentation and assist with special assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, Health Administration, or Business Administration.
- Experience in a guest or customer service role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- A valid U.S. driver's license.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including climbing ladders, working at heights, or in low light.
Location & details#
- Location: Anaheim, CA.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January through June).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Pay: $23.00 per hour for undergraduate students or $30.40 per hour for graduate students.
- Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old with unrestricted work authorization.
