About the role#
This internship supports the ABC News Consumer Insights team in New York. You will explore the attitudes and behaviors that drive news viewership across broadcast and streaming platforms. You will report to the Senior Manager of Research and contribute to the team's ongoing measurement and reporting efforts.
What you'll do#
- Assist managers with projects specific to ABC News programs and properties.
- Aid in quantitative research, including data generation, analysis, and report creation.
- Prepare and maintain regular ratings reports.
- Monitor syndicated research sources and synthesize findings for internal partners.
- Develop insights on audience groups to help inform viewer growth strategies.
- Create templates to support data visualization and team presentations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a Junior or Senior undergraduate student.
- Coursework in Journalism, Communications, Statistics, Marketing, or Data Science.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare detailed analyses under tight deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship located in New York, New York.
- The term runs for six months, from January 2027 through June 2027.
- Interns must be available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Participants are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
