About the role#
Sony AI is seeking research interns to develop machine learning technologies for use in movie, game, and music creation. This role focuses on the research and development of generative AI applications and the ethical operation of these models. Interns will work to create technologies with the potential for global application across entertainment studios while receiving support from internal scientists and engineers.
What you'll do#
- Investigate and apply novel algorithms for the generation and editing of video, sound, and 3D visual geometry, including 3D human motion.
- Analyze and alleviate ethical flaws in generative models, such as memorization detection, concept erasure, and data attribution.
- Implement innovative ideas using research, coding, and problem-solving skills.
- Aim to publish research findings in a top-tier conference.
What you'll need#
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven knowledge and expertise in generative AI applications, including deep generative modeling, computer vision, and audio signal processing.
- Strong analytical and programming skills in deep learning using frameworks such as PyTorch and visualization tools like TensorBoard.
- Experience in research communities, including published papers at top-tier conferences like CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, and ICML.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Enrollment in a relevant Ph.D. program is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a remote, full-time, paid internship.
- The hourly rate is $50.00 per hour, with eligibility for overtime.
- The position operates on a rolling term.
