About the role#
Sony Electronics Inc. is seeking an intern to join the team as a Software Engineer. This role focuses on developing applications that impact products used by millions of customers. You will gain hands-on experience in software development while working in a hybrid environment.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance APIs and backend services within a cloud environment.
- Create scripts and tools to streamline deployment, testing, and monitoring workflows.
- Design and manage Docker-based solutions to ensure portable and reproducible development and production environments.
- Implement monitoring and analytics pipelines that utilize machine learning and AI to identify system health and usage trends.
- Design and code intuitive web portals and dashboards for enterprise management applications.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience building web services and applications using Golang, Rust, NodeJS, MySQL, Vue, or React.
- Familiarity with Linux and shell languages.
- Experience with client-server architecture and web services.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in software design and development.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD is preferred.

- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: Paid position with an anticipated hourly wage between $24.20 and $38.50.
