About the role#
Sony Electronics is looking for an Account Management & Business Analytics Intern to support the team managing our largest retail partners. This role provides direct experience in financial analysis, sales operations, and promotional planning within the consumer electronics industry. You will assist account managers by tracking marketing investments, reconciling claims, and developing insights from business performance data.
What you'll do#
- Manage and maintain retailer promotional calendars across multiple customer accounts.
- Support the management of Market Development Funds (MDF) and promotional investments.
- Develop recurring sales and business performance reports.
- Analyze revenue, margin, inventory, and promotional performance metrics.
- Conduct competitive analysis on pricing, promotions, and product assortment.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to support promotional readiness.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

- Term: Fall 2026.
- Location: San Diego, California.
- Work Modality: Hybrid or on-site.
- Schedule: Full-time availability up to 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: Paid internship with an anticipated hourly wage between $24 and $30.
