    About the role#

    The Mechanical Engineering Department at The University of New Mexico is hiring graduate and upper level students to serve as course graders. This is a paid, part-time student employment position based on campus in Albuquerque. The role operates on a rolling basis for the Fall 2025 semester.

    What you'll do#

    • Grade weekly homework assignments, projects, and quizzes.
    • Assist instructors with grading exams.
    • Manage and maintain the gradebook for the course.
    • Hold weekly office hours to support students.
    • Answer student questions about assignments.
    • Complete other job-related duties as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Current status as a graduate or upper level student.
    • An engineering background.
    • A grade of B or better in the specific course you are applying to grade.
    • Understanding of the principles and methods used to grade engineering and mathematical problems.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • A flexible schedule and a dependable work ethic.
