About the role#
The Risk Solutions Field Intern program offers students hands-on experience in insurance risk analysis. You will work alongside experienced consultants to support safety, risk evaluation, and client service delivery. This is a 10-week, full-time program based in Worcester, Massachusetts, for the summer of 2027. We provide housing and relocation stipends to support your time in the program.
What you'll do#
- Research and apply technical information to support current service efforts.
- Join experienced staff on co-surveys to develop technical and consulting skills.
- Assist field consultants with pre-visit preparation and account research.
- Develop account loss trend analyses.
- Follow up with customers regarding open recommendations, answer questions, and update the loss control system.
- Coordinate with customers to encourage the adoption of recommended services like sensor technology, drone surveys, and fleet telematics.
- Assist Technical Directors and AVPs with assigned projects.
- Complete a Capstone project and deliver a final presentation to senior management.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or advanced degree program, specifically in Environmental Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to commit to the full 10-week summer program.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
