About the role#
The Compliance and Ethics team at The Hanover is looking for an intern to join our department for the summer of 2027. You will work on projects that support our compliance functions while gaining professional experience in the insurance industry. This is a full-time, 10-week program based in our office.
What you'll do#
- Prepare reports for Compliance leadership and internal departments using visualization tools.
- Develop solutions to turn manual tasks into automated, repeatable processes.
- Provide analytical support to the team and ensure data accuracy.
- Use existing information to build innovative solutions.
- Create tools, processes, and analytics to support business needs.
- Present your work to management at the end of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- 0-2 years of professional work experience.
- Familiarity with database concepts.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Microsoft Suite.
- Basic programming skills in SAS, SQL, VBA, R, Python, or Java.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
