About the role#
Datasite's Transformation Office leads enterprise AI adoption and strategic change. As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) intern, you will work with experienced engineers to identify operational challenges and build technical solutions. This is a 10 to 12 week, full-time internship where you will gain hands-on experience applying AI and automation to real business initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Partner with business teams to identify workflows that can be improved through AI and automation.
- Develop rapid prototypes using Python, AI models, APIs, and workflow automation tools.
- Iterate on designs based on direct feedback from internal stakeholders.
- Document use cases and support the deployment of AI solutions into production environments.
- Translate technical work into business terms by focusing on outcomes like efficiency gains and time savings.
- Participate in team meetings, collaborate across functions, and present your work to the team.
What you'll need#
- A completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Data Science.
- Experience with Python or another modern programming language.
- Familiarity with SQL, databases, APIs, or workflow automation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A builder's mindset and a desire to learn new technologies quickly.
Location & details#
- Locations: Minneapolis, MN or New York City, NY.
- Modality: Hybrid (requires at least 2 days per week on-site).
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: $34,700 to $38,900 for the internship term.
