About the role#
The Doe Run Company is hiring a Resource Recycling Metallurgy Intern for Summer 2027. This paid position is based at the Buick Resource Recycling Division in Boss, Missouri. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience in a secondary lead smelter environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Metallurgy department with research, data analysis, and project management tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to understand operational processes and business functions.
- Perform field work to support project deliverables.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies to complete tasks safely.
- Support peers in maintaining safe work practices and report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Provide feedback to help improve overall safety performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Completion of at least 24 college credit hours is preferred.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.2.
- You must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- The ability to apply academic knowledge to practical operational needs.

- Compensation: $21.50 per hour.
