About the role#
This paid summer internship offers students hands-on experience in mine engineering. You will work out of the Buick Mine in Boss, Missouri, during the summer of 2027. This role involves supporting project deliverables and learning about operational processes within the mining and milling division.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project management, data analysis, and research tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to learn about assigned departments and operations.
- Perform field work to gain insight into business and operational processes.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies while supporting peers in safe work practices.
- Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or deviations and provide feedback to improve safety performance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Mine Engineering or a related field.
- Completion of at least 24 hours of college coursework is preferred.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.2.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to apply classroom knowledge to operational needs.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Boss, Missouri.
- The role is full-time and on-site.
- Pay is $21.50 per hour.
- Job offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, physical, and background check. This may include a motor vehicle record review and ATF explosives possessor clearance.
