About the role#
The Doe Run Company is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This paid, full-time position is based on-site at the Buick Resource Recycling Division in Boss, Missouri. You will work with the Project Engineering department to gain hands-on experience and apply your academic knowledge to real operational needs.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project management tasks, data analysis, and research to support project deliverables.
- Collaborate with team members to learn about assigned departments and operational processes.
- Perform field work to gain a better understanding of the business.
- Complete all tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS policies and procedures.
- Support peers in maintaining safe work practices and report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Provide feedback to help improve EHS performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor's degree program for Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least 24 hours of college coursework is preferred.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.2.
- You must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency with computers and software relevant to project assignments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for project planning.
- Clear communication skills to interact with operators and business leaders.

- Location: Boss, Missouri.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Pay: $21.50 per hour.
- This is an on-site role. All offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a drug screen, physical, and background check.
