About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based at the Brushy Creek Mill in Boss, Missouri. You will work with the Mill Metallurgy department to gain practical experience, provide fresh perspectives on business solutions, and apply your academic knowledge to real-world operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project management, research, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to learn about specific departments and operational processes.
- Perform field work to support business objectives.
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental policies.
- Help peers maintain a safe work environment by reporting hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions.
- Provide feedback to help improve safety and environmental performance.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least 24 hours of college coursework is preferred.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.2.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- The ability to apply what you have learned in school to operational needs.

- Location: Boss, Missouri.
- Modality: On-site.

- This role involves working in an office setting, but you may also be exposed to outdoor weather, wet or humid conditions, loud noise, and mechanical parts. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 75 pounds rarely. You must be able to distinguish colors and have precise hand-eye coordination.
